Payment options
The easiest and most convenient way to place an order is to use your credit card.
All your information is transferred to our server in a secure mode. No charges will be
made to your account until we obtain a confirmation of the order from you. Other methods
of payment are by check or by money order. These methods are available for US only and
each require $5 extra charge.
Upon receipt of your order, our sales staff will contact you (by phone or e-mail) to
confirm the order. After confirmation of the order, we debit your account (wait for
the arrival of the money order or until the check clears). Then your order is sent to
you by UPS. We provide free shipping to the U.S. and Canada. If your order is to be
sent to another country, we will charge you for the cost of delivery according to UPS rates.
Security policy
Shopping at www.ectaco.com is safe. Our secure server software uses state-of-the-art commercial security measures.
All of your personal and financial information including
credit card number, name and address are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
This protocol encrypts your information and converts it into bits of code that are securely
transmitted over the Internet. To provide additional security for the credit card transactions,
no charges will be made to your account until we obtain a confirmation of the order from you.
Delivery charges
Your dictionary will be delivered to you by UPS. We provide FREE shipping in the U.S. and Canada.
If you want your dictionary to be delivered FREE to the United Kingdom, please

If your order is to be delivered to another country, you will be charged according to UPS international rates.
The shipping rate for Europe and Latin America is approximately $30.00.
Depending on a particular dictionary model and your exact address your actual shipping rate and
the delivery period can slightly differ. The delivery period is defined by UPS.
Warranty
ECTACO, Inc. ("Ectaco") warrants to the end user that its products will be free of defects in material
and craftsmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of original retail purchase, as evidenced by
a sales receipt. If any defect occurs, the user must return the product either to the dealer or
directly to one of the Ectaco offices. Ectaco will, at its option, repair or replace the product at no charge.
This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse or as a result
of service by any other party.
Except for the limited warranties above, this product is provided on an "as is" basis, without any other
warranties or conditions, express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantable
quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or those arising by law, statute, usage of
trade, or course of dealing. This warranty applies only to products manufactured by Ectaco and does not
include batteries etc. Any damages caused by batteries are not covered by this warranty. Neither
Ectaco nor our dealers or suppliers shall have any liability for any indirect, incidental, special,
or consequential damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, loss of revenue or profit,
lost or damaged data or other commercial or economic loss, even if we have been advised of the
possibility of such damages, or they are otherwise foreseeable. We are also not responsible for
claims by a third party. Our maximum aggregate liability to you, and that of our dealers and
suppliers, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Ectaco product as evidenced by your
purchase receipt. If the laws of the relevant jurisdiction do not permit full waiver of implied
warranties, then the duration of implied warranties and conditions are limited to the duration
of the express warranty granted herein.

Return policy
You can return goods purchased from us within 7 days from the date of receipt. Returned goods should be
in the original packaging and not show any signs of use. Shipment of goods from the customer is made at
his expense. All returned items are subject to a 6.5% restocking fee. The shipping
cost will be deducted from the cost of goods.
